This distinctive expression of Spyderco Para Military 2 combines all the proven qualities of the best-selling standard version of this model with the latest generation of Carpenter® Micro-Melt® Maxamet® latest generation steel.

Maxamet is an extremely hard high speed powder tool steel developed specifically for use in Carpenter steel mill rollers. It has properties that transcend steels for conventional high-speed tools and approach those of cemented carbides, the ultra-hard materials used to machine other steels.

Spyderco is one of the few companies that dominates the specialized methods necessary to mechanize, heat treat and grind this demanding material to produce reliable and high-performance knives.

This knife's flat PlainEdge ™ blade takes full advantage of Maxamet's qualities, offering an unmatched combination of strength, low friction cutting performance, edge retention and tip utility.

It is housed in a handle with G-10 scales with dark gray texture and nested stainless steel liners that form the basis of its heavy-duty Compression Lock ™ mechanism. A versatile four-position pocket clip and a generously sized lined drawstring hole complete the package and support all possible transportation preferences.
