Spyderco Manix 2 Gray FRCP Maxamet Pocket Knife

The Manix ™ 2 Lightweight Maxamet® combines the lightweight construction of the award-winning Manix 2 Lightweight with a blade made of Carpenter® steel Micro-Melt® Maxamet® alloy. Maxamet is an extremely hard high-speed powder steel that has properties that transcend steels for conventional high-speed tools and approach those of cemented carbides, the ultra-hard materials used to machine other steels.

The blade-shaped blade, completely smooth and flat, takes full advantage of Maxamet's properties, offering a superior combination of strength, low friction cutting performance and tip utility. It is backed by the high resistance lock mechanism patented by Spyderco Ball Bearing Lock which consists of a ball bearing nested inside a 'cage' of durable polymer texture.

Supporting the locking mechanism is an ultralight, injection molded handle of glass fiber reinforced copolymer (FRCP). It features the distinctive Spyderco Bi-Directional Texturing® pattern for a secure grip in all environmental conditions and a reversible wire clip that provides convenient transportation in any direction, which makes all aspects of knife transport and operation completely ambidextrous.
