Singing Rock Fakir III Crampon
The third generation of Singing Rock Fakir crampons offers crampons that are lighter, stronger and with a fresh look. The Fakir III are available in Classic (straps), Semi-Classic (semi-automatic) and Tech (automatic) versions.
Singing Rock Fakir III Classic strap crampons have 12 points and are ideal for classic mountaineering. They are specially designed for glacier trekking and snowy slopes, weigh 810 grams per pair and are compatible with soft trekking boots without a heel groove. Approved under the EN 893 standard.
The fastening system by straps of the Fakir III Classic is compatible with soft trekking boots. In addition, the symmetrical shape of the crampon adapts perfectly to the boot and the front toes, providing maximum efficiency on steep terrain. Size adjustment has been simplified and can be done without the use of tools.
During the development of the third generation of Fakir crampons, Singing Rock has focused on the weakest aspects of the previous generation (Fakir II). The design has been renewed to achieve greater strength and a longer useful life, at the same time as a lighter crampon has been achieved (810g for the Fakir III Classic vs 855g for the Fakir II Classic). In addition to the design, the center bar of the Fakir III Classic has been replaced by a flexible stainless steel bar that better conforms to the flexible soles of trekking boots and better absorbs part of the load. Finally, the crampon anti-cramp plates have been modified, now being manufactured with a more flexible material that better retains its properties in extreme sub-zero temperatures. Thanks to this modification, the anti-cracking plates of the Singing Rock Fakir III work better and last longer.

These lightweight crampons from Singing Rock have been designed to perform on any type of terrain, from glacier trekking to snowy slopes to classic ice runners. The automatic fastening system makes the crampons compatible with rigid boots, but the Fakir III can be configured with two different toe caps to expand their range of compatibility and to be able to wear them with boots that only have a slot in the heel and also with ski boots of Mountain. Singing Rock Fakir III crampons are also available in Classic (straps) and Semi-Classic (semi-automatic) versions. They weigh 880 grams per pair. Approved under the EN 893 standard.
One of the most striking novelties of this third generation is that the Fakir III Tech automatic crampons allow the front part to be replaced by one of the two new Singing Rock crampon toe caps: a toe cap compatible with ski mountaineering boots or skimo - SKI toe cap. - and another that makes the Fakir III Tech crampon compatible with trekking boots with a groove only in the heel - the SEMI-CLASSIC toe cap.
The size adjustment of the Fakir III has been simplified compared to the Fakir II, so that adjusting the size of the crampon is simple, fast and does not require the use of any tools. In addition to renewing the design and achieving greater resistance and a longer useful life, these new crampons are 20 grams lighter than their bigger brothers (880 g for the Fakir III Tech versus 900 g for the Fakir II Tech). On the other hand, new anti-cramp plates have been designed made of a material that is more flexible than the previous ones and that better retains its properties when exposed to extreme temperatures below zero.

Approved under the EN 893 standard. Like the rest of the members of the third generation of Singing Rock Fakir crampons, these are light crampons, more resistant than the previous generation and with a renewed appearance.
Singing Rock has focused on the weakest points of the Fakir II crampons to develop these new third generation crampons. In the Fakir III mountaineering crampons, the hardened Cromoly steel casing has been redesigned in order to obtain more strength and lighter weight (Fakir III Semi-Classic: 900 g / Fakir II Semi-Classic: 920 g). In addition, the entire range of Fakir III crampons is presented in fresh colors and a completely renewed design. On the other hand, the new anti-crash plates are made of a more flexible material, which better retains its properties when subjected to very extreme sub-zero temperatures. As a result, the anti-slip plates of the Singing Rock Fakir III crampons work better and enjoy a longer service life. Finally, the adjustment system has been simplified, facilitating the maneuver of adjusting the size to the user. It is not necessary to use any type of tool to make the adjustment.
